Aggressive / Difficult dogs
We maintain the right to refuse to groom a dog that is badly behaved, or aggressive towards people. In the event, the owner will be notified; a $20.00 handling fee will be added to your bill, or we will stop the grooming appointment if we are unable to safety groom the dog. Please inform us prior to your appointment if your dog has exhibited such behavior in the past.
Dogs in heat
We cannot accept female dogs in heat. If your dog comes into heat please reschedule your appointment with the appropriate 24 hours notice
All dogs are to be on a leash when entering and exiting the salon/store. This is to ensure the safety of all pets and people that may be in the salon/store. Cats need to be in a carrier for safe transport to and from the salon/ store.
We are not a CAGE FREE facility, HOWEVER if your dog is dog friendly we normally allow your dog to roam around behind our double gated area with other dog friendly dogs. If your dog is NOT fixed this will not be an option due to safety reasons. You may often see dogs not in cages but waiting to be picked up. If you have any concerns regarding cages please let us know prior to your appointment.
Dogs groomed on a regular basis adjust and cooperate to their routine. Dogs that are not groomed every 4 - 6 weeks may become matted. Matting occurs from lack of grooming, coat overgrowth, and lack of brushing at home. Additional fees apply for de-matting a pet. When matting is severe and/or close to the skin the only humane way to remove the mats is to clip the coat off to the skin line. In some cases where the matting is not severe and only covers a small area, we can remove them by splitting, thinning and then brushing them out. There is a fee of $1 per minute after the first 15 minutes. We are not responsible for heath conditions that may be revealed by removing a matted coat such as sores, etc.
